There are many treatments for erectile dysfunction (ED), but at Urology Associates Of Cape Cod, our highly skilled and experienced andrologists offer two: inflatable penile implants and semirigid penile implants. While the former can be inflated and deflated, a semirigid penile implant is always firm and can be positioned as needed.

A semirigid penile implant is a device that holds a spring on each end. It has fewer parts than an inflatable penile implant, and it is easy to use if you have less dexterity. While it can be moved and bent slightly to be concealed, its constant rigidity makes it more difficult to hide under clothing.

During placement, a catheter is placed to collect urine. After an incision is made, an implant is placed on the tissue of the penis which would normally fill with blood to create an erection. The size of the implant depends on the size of your penis, as it will be customized to suit your body. The entire surgery usually takes between 45 minutes and an hour. We offer high-quality semirigid penile implants, including devices made by Rigicon.
